Kids as well as adults will enjoy mutton bustin’, the specialty John Harrison who was named PRCA Comedy Act of the Year 2012 and bullfighters Andy Burelle and Kyle Lippincott.
Slack begins on Wednesday, May 7 at 5pm and is free to the public. Thursday will begin with one of the oldest and largest Trail Rides in the nation. The Ride will begin at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse in Weatherford and end in Mineral Wells just in time for the Rodeo Parade that will begin at 5pm.
Thursday thru Saturday night the Rodeo will begin at 7:30pm. Thursday, all adult and box seat ticket holders in attendance Thursday will be entered in a drawing to win $770.00 in honor of the 77th Annual Rodeo. The drawing will occur midway through the rodeo. You must be present to win. Friday is “Wear Pink” night. The Palo Pinto County Livestock Association will donate 10% of proceeds made at the gate to help local cancer patients with their needs.
Saturday morning begins early with the “Let Er’ Buck Rodeo Run” 5K that will start at 8:30am at Mineral Wells Anytime Fitness. To sign up go tohttp://getmeregistered.com/LetErBuckRodeoRun or pick up a registration form at the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce. It is $25 to register in advance and $30 if registered the day of the race. Saturday night the rodeo will be followed by a dance featuring the Kinneth Doyle and the Texas Dancehall Band. The dance begins at 9:30pm in the Expo center, located near the arena.
