Brady: Brady 4th Annual Armed Forces Weekend Celebration & Fly-In


May 16 at 6:00pm to May 17 at 11:00pm

Friday night, we are kicking things off on Brady's beautiful Courthouse Square!  There will be reenactors and military vehicles from 6-7 PM, so come meet & greet with us!  Evridge's, The Market, and D&J's Good Ole' Days are staying open late for your shopping pleasure.  D&J's will have food, music, and 40's style advice for anyone still looking for the perfect outfit for the dinner/dance.  Then enjoy Tora! Tora! Tora! at our newly reopened 1928 Palace Theater starting at 7 PM.  Movie tickets just $4!

Then rest up so you can head out to Curtis Field with the fun starting at 9 AM.  Here's our schedule:  (Still need a hotel room?  Holiday Inn Express 325.597-1800, Best Western 325.597.3997  Ask for the Fly-In rate!)

Gates Open!  9 AM  (Remember Handicapped & Veterans' Parking is in the South Lot by Loadcraft.  All others please proceed to the north lot in honor of saving those best spots for our veterans.)

9AM-4PM  Airplanes & Warbirds on tarmac, Museum Exhibit & Art Gallery, Half-Track Rides - any donation if possible, but not required, Tank Rides - $30, Warbird Rides - BT-15, $150, SNJ (Texan) $250, Ryan PT-22 rides, free P-51 Mustang rides for WWII veterans!

10 AM, 1 PM  Weapons & Flamethrower Demonstrations by The National Museum of the Pacific War

12 Noon  Flag Ceremony, National Anthem, Curtis Field Heritage Flight

12:15 until we've eaten all of them!  $7 Hamburger Lunch to benefit Boy Scouts and MMAM

 

7PM-11PM  WWII Hangar Dinner & Dance in the Big Hangar with music by Sentimental Journey Orchestra directed by Ted Conerly.  (Dinner/Dance tickets still available at State Farm, Ricks' Furniture or through the website  www.morganmilitaryaviationmuseum.com

We are excited about warbirds, other birds, honoring our veterans and active duty personnel, military vehicles & rides, reenactors, Sentimental Journey, Tora! Tora! Tora!, Friday night on the Square, warbird rides, Aunt Trudi's cooking, T-shirts,  introducing you to the L-2 Lucky Duck, live Texas Country music by Justin Michael Bell, seeing old friends and making new,  working with an awesome group of sponsors and volunteers, and more!
