Brownwood: Lake Brownwood State Park- Open House and Youth Outdoor Education Day

Come on out to enjoy Lake Brownwood State Park free of charge! We are waiving entry fees to let you come see what we have to offer. On top of our normal amenities, we are providing lots of fun and educational activities for the whole family.

Friday, May 16 is Youth Outdoor Education Day. This day is mostly geared to school groups, but everyone is invited. If you are looking for a good field trip for your class, come see us!

Saturday, May 17 is family day. We are providing all of the same programming for everyone. Here is a list of all the activities we are offering:

  • Kid fishing pond (Catch your first fish!)
  • Operation Game Thief Wall of Shame
  • Buffalo Soldier Program
  • Frontier History
  • Guided Nature Hikes
  • Nature programs
  • Archaeology programs
