San Angelo: 2015 Ceramic Weekend at San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts

Recognized as one of the best shows in America, every day is packed full with events at 3 locations! Our museum has exhibits featuring clay works, the University features ceramic symposiums, and the Art Center hosts workshops, demonstrations, clay artists' galleries,studios, and works by artists from near and far. We wrap up the festivities with a dinner and dance Chicken Farm style!

This year our invited artists are Juan Granados from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and Margaret Boozer from Washington, D.C. A 100th-birthday celebration of master potter, Otto Heino, will be featured in a small exhibit in Gallery 2 at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, as well as selections from the collection of John and Darlene Williams.

    100 Years: A Celebration of Master Potter Otto Heino

    In honor of what would have been his 100th birthday (April 20), this exhibit is a selection of Otto Heino’s signature works (along with works by his wife Vivika and their collaborations), on loan from the collection of Helen Heino.

    Ceramics from the Collection of John and Darlene Williams

    Notable selections from a collection spanning several decades, now given to SAMFA by Dallas collectors and SAMFA patrons John and Darlene Williams.
