Celebrating its fourth year, Sundown on the Square is an annual downtown festival to benefit the Stephenville Historical House Museum. Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward much needed repairs to Chapel on the Bosque. The event is on Saturday, October 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in downtown Stephenville, Texas.
The event features a street dance and concert with Texas swing band, Asleep at the Wheel. Opening up for Asleep at the Wheel is C.B. Sutton and the Outcast Band. This family friendly downtown celebration also features games and activities including bungee jumping, bounce houses, face painting, a mechanical bull, a photo bus, wine tasting, shopping on the square, and food and beverages from local vendors.
In addition, the Stephenville Historical House Museum’s Bygone Days on the Bosque event is also on Saturday, October 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the museum grounds. This event celebrates the brave, wonderful settlers of our past. Watch as their crafts and professions are demonstrated and experience their pioneering spirit come alive!
